This clamp works wonderfully for simple to moderately complex fractures like long bone breaks in the femur, tibia, and humerus where you need stable positioning during reduction and fixation. It's particularly effective for fractures requiring precise alignment before plating or intramedullary nailing, giving you the control to hold fragments exactly where they need to be without slipping during the critical fixation window.

Instead of using separate tools to check bone length during surgery, this built-in measuring tool lets you see the exact size right there saving time and keeping your repair in place. You don't have to stop and grab another instrument, which means less movement of the bones and better accuracy for the patient's healing. It's basically like having a ruler built into your clamp so you can check everything quickly and safely.

A regular reduction clamp just holds bones while you're getting them lined up, but this clamp does both jobs it holds and measures at the same time. The 6-inch size gives you better reach and control in deep areas, and since the measuring tool is already there, you stay focused on your work without switching between different instruments. Think of it as an all-in-one tool that does more than the basic clamp.

This clamp is primarily designed for open orthopedic surgery where direct bone access is available. Its 6-inch size and built-in measuring caliper make it most effective in open fracture fixation, bone grafting, and reconstructive procedures. For minimally invasive or arthroscopic cases, smaller and purpose-built instruments are more appropriate.

Before you use it, look for any bent parts, rust, or damage, then gently squeeze it on a soft material to make sure it grips evenly without slipping. Check that the measuring part moves smoothly and the numbers are easy to read, and test the locking handle to ensure it stays tight and releases easily. If anything feels wrong or looks damaged, it's best to have it checked before using it on a patient.
