A solid blade is a continuous, non-perforated flat surface that runs the entire length of the instrument, allowing surgeons to push tissues back with a larger contact area during rhinoplasty and nasal procedures. This dense construction provides better control and strength compared to fenestrated (perforated) designs, making it ideal for precise tissue retraction in delicate nasal structures.

The 45 mm size gives surgeons just the right length to reach inside the nose and see what they need without hurting extra tissue. It's the perfect balance between getting a good view and protecting the delicate parts of the nose.

The Aufricht retractor has a curved blade that actively pulls tissue away and keeps it out of sight, while regular speculums just open the nostril. This curved shape gives you way more room to work and see the area you need to fix.

The curved solid blade pushes tissue to the side smoothly and keeps it there without shadows blocking your view. This clear view helps you work faster, be more precise, and reduce damage to the nose.

These tools can go through 300 to 900 sterilization cycles over several years if you take care of them right. Just clean them well after use, rinse with distilled water, and store them dry to make them last much longer.
